Translating Theories into Practice
Systemic neuroscience to respond to vicarious trauma.
Vicarious trauma is an occupational health and safety issue in any organisation working with complex clients. Managers, team leaders recognise the need for staff retention while facing complex needs. This workshop will help management to understand staff wellbeing needs through a systemic lens - and help reshape systemic structures and policies that can be inherently traumatic to a recovery approach.
Understanding culture and trauma to build engagement.
In a collectivist thinking positive emotions are necessary in outward identity and negative emotions are tended to be displayed in interpersonal relationships.
W-E has created a practice based framework of recovery to look at the engagement process for child/family, using outward expressions to help build attunement for child/family work. This workshop will skill teams in their engagement and interventions using case studies and experiential exercises.
Engaging Fathers and Sons
W-E has created and presented a practice framework of recovery and resilience through their work with refugee/asylum seeking children. From this a series of workshops is developed to help tailor your practice using western attachment theories into developmental trauma recovery work. This workshop will help participants gain relevant knowledge using case stories, scenarios and skills in engagement and interventions through experiential activities.
